IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the USA Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means to you - when you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Please provide all the requested information. Items shown in red are required. When you have completed the form, click the Submit button to send your application to Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union. The data will be transferred using our secure server to ensure encryption.

A Member Services representative will contact you to arrange either your initial $25 deposit or an initial deposit waiver, based upon your selections in the Opportunity to Waive Initial Deposit section of the form.
If you request physical mail, you should receive these items within two to four business days. Please complete the signature card and return it along with a copy of your valid driver's license(s). If applicable, please sign the initial deposit waiver form that will be included. If you are not receiving a waiver, please include your initial $25 deposit in order to complete the application process. An envelope will be provided for the return of these items.
Special Note - This is an application only. It is necessary to meet eligibility guidelines in order to become a member of Abilene Teachers FCU. We will notify you if we determine that you are ineligible for membership.

If you decide to take advantage of this offer, we'll send you a waiver form for your signature. In order to make this offer available, we need the completed form prior to opening your account(s).
The initial $25 deposit to the regular share (savings) account is a required deposit for membership and must remain in that account until membership in the credit union is terminated.
For dividend information, please refer to the terms and conditions found in the Account Agreements that will be provided to you. Dividends are not paid on accounts closed during the dividend period. Dividends are based on earnings of the credit union and are subject to change.
Upon the death of the primary owner of a share (savings) account, the account shall be closed at the end of the dividend period in which such death occurs, and no further additional dividends shall be paid thereon. Should membership at Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union be terminated, the account shall be closed at the end of the dividend period in which such termination occurs, and no further additional dividends shall be paid thereon.
