Despu\u00e9s de un t\u00edpico verano abrasador en el oeste de Texas, la mayor\u00eda de nosotros esperamos que llegue un oto\u00f1o y un invierno m\u00e1s frescos. Pero a medida que las temperaturas exteriores bajan, los costos de calefacci\u00f3n en interiores aumentan. Esa apacible y pintoresca nevada blanca puede dar como resultado facturas de servicios p\u00fablicos invernales que no son tan bonitas.<\/p>\n

Si bien no podemos cambiar el clima, podemos analizar nuestros h\u00e1bitos y ver si hay formas de ahorrar dinero y posiblemente ser m\u00e1s conscientes del medio ambiente.<\/p>\n

Con eso en mente, veamos algunos cambios de h\u00e1bitos sencillos que beneficiar\u00e1n a nuestro presupuesto y a nuestro medio ambiente:<\/p>\n

  1. Agregue alfombras a sus pisos para ayudar a aislar las habitaciones. V\u00edstase en capas, su\u00e9teres abrigados y calcetines. Utilice s\u00e1banas de franela y m\u00e1s mantas por la noche.<\/li>\n
  2. Limpie o cambie los filtros de aire. Los residuos son contaminantes y dificultan la circulaci\u00f3n del aire caliente. Este es un consejo importante que a menudo se pasa por alto. Si no puede alcanzar los filtros de aire, contrate a un pariente m\u00e1s joven por unas horas.<\/li>\n
  3. Baje el termostato entre 7 y 10 grados cuando todos est\u00e9n fuera por el d\u00eda. Utilice un termostato que se ajuste autom\u00e1ticamente seg\u00fan su horario.<\/li>\n
