Zero percent financing is an increasingly popular financing option offered by most vehicle manufacturers on new cars and trucks. It sounds great and is appealing to many buyers but, as the above table shows, it may not always be the best deal.

Use our loan calculator to evaluate your financing options. If you find that you can save money by financing with us Grab the Rebate and Run to the closet ATFCU loan officer. Or give us a call at 677-2274 or 800-677-6770.

Remember – All member/owners of Abilene Teachers FCU are eligible for the loan rates shown above.

A New Location is Under Construction

Construction is well underway on our new headquarters building at 3849 Antilley Road. The 34,000 square foot building is located on 3.75 acres near the intersection of Buffalo Gap and Antilley. The two story building features an expansive glass entryway and atrium styling. It will house a full range of member services including personal tellers, account representatives, consumer and mortgage lending, night deposit and ATM access. 10 drive through teller lanes will offer fast service to our members.

With future expansion in mind, the facility will accommodate ATFCU's relocated "back office" functions - information technology, accounting, collections and human resources in addition to executive offices and the call center. A large conference room and member education center are also included in the plans.

Local contractor Epic Construction was awarded the building contract and began site work in November 2009. Completion is expected early in 2011. The current main office building at 2801 N. 6th Street will remain open as a branch after the new building is completed.

    Instant Issue Check Cards

Check cards are rapidly replacing paper checks as the most popular way to make retail purchases. They're quick, they're convenient and they're easier than carrying a checkbook. We're pleased to announce that we can now issue these cards at our walk-in facilities, usually within an hour.

If you need a new card quickly or if your magnetic strip is damaged, we can quickly assist you onsite. And here's another benefit you'll enjoy - members can choose their own PIN.

We've changed the appearance of our VISA check card to help members distinguish it from their ATM card. The new design features a West Texas tank and windmill. As current cards expire, all check cards issued by ATFCU will be changed to the new design.

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) for your Vehicle Purchase

You could lose more than your new or used vehicle if it is stolen or involved in a major accident. You could also lose your investment. Because most insurance policies only cover the value of your vehicle - something that rapidly declines during the first few yeas of ownership - your loan balance can be higher than the value of your vehicle. This situation is commonly called "being upside down" on a loan.

Now you can protect your vehicle investment with Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP). GAP protects you from a potential loan deficiency and covers the "gap" between the amount of your investment and the amount you still owe. Essentially, GAP protects you from substantial loss.

GAP was designed for all drivers, whether you finance a new or used vehicle. It covers automobiles, vans, and light trucks. GAP coverage goes into effect when you need it most - when your vehicle is stolen and isn't recovered, or is totaled in an accident.

GAP covers the difference between your insurance company's Actual Cash Value determination and the payoff amount of your loan. Delinquent payments, late charges, refundable service warranty contracts, other insurance-related products, and interest charged after the date of loss will be deducted from the GAP settlement.

For just pennies a day, GAP provides peace of mind, convenience, confidence and significant savings. Enrollment is simple. Contact your loan officer for details.
