In October, the Social Security Adminstration altered the electonic file format they use to send automatic deposits to financial institutions. At the time, this change affected our members who receive their deposits on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of each month. On January 3, the change will apply to all Social Security recipients receiving automatic deposits.
The new format is temporarily causing some accounting challenges for the credit union and we request your cooperation. If you receive an automatic Social Security deposit AND you are also set up for automatic loan payments at ATFCU, we may need to manually re-associate the two accounts.
Please keep an eye on the applicable transactions and contact the Accounting Department if you notice any discrepancies.
