Share Savings Account

There are many reasons to save - to prepare for retirement, to handle those everyday emergencies, to finance a college education, to make a personal dream come true or simply to have peace of mind. Whatever your reason, the best place to start is with a traditional share savings account at Abilene Teachers FCU.

It all begins with a share! As a member of Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union you now have a "share" in its ownership. No matter how much money you deposit in your savings account, you are now an equal owner of the entire institution.

The Share Savings account is opened as part of your account opening process and is required for every member of Abilene Teachers FCU.

• Minimum opening balance requirement of $25
• One time membership fee of $1
• Dividends accrued daily and paid quarterly
• Up to six (6) free transactions per month
• There is no 'minimum balance' fee imposed on share savings accounts. However, the $25 initial deposit must remain in the account as long as membership is maintained.
• A Social Security card and a valid photo ID will need to be shown when opening a share savings account. Please give us a call if you have questions about acceptable identification.

Your Money is Safe

Your savings at Abilene Teachers FCU are insured to at least $250,000 by the NCUA, (National Credit Union Administration) a U.S. government agency.
