Regular Savings Accounts

There are many reasons to save - to prepare for retirement, to handle those everyday emergencies, to finance a college education, to make a personal dream come true or simply to have peace of mind. Whatever your reason, the best place to start is with a traditional share savings account at Abilene Teachers FCU.

It all begins with a share! As a member of Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union you now have a "share" in its ownership.  All members with a share are equal owners of the entire institution.

The Share Savings account is the first step of your account opening process.

  • Minimum opening balance requirement of $25 to purchase your 'share'.  The share amount remains in your account as long as membership is maintained.
  • Dividends accrued daily and paid quarterly
  • Up to six (6) free transactions per month
  • No monthly service fees imposed on savings accounts, no matter what your balance!
  • Abilene Teachers FCU is a proud supporter of the 2001 Patriot Act.  This law requires that consumers wishing to open an account provide acceptable identification.  Currently we request your Social Security number and a valid state or federal document containing a photo.  A drivers license, passport, or state ID are among the acceptable forms.  You'll need to bring it with you when opening a share savings account. Please give us a call at 677-2274 or 800-677-6770 if you have questions about acceptable identification.

Your Money is Safe
